ABOUT LORY

I came to teaching yoga through my deep interest in trauma and its expression in our bodies. While that remains central to my work, I also take great pleasure in simply sharing yoga with a wide array of people of varying ages, abilities, and mobilities. My classes have a particular flavor, and I am most grateful to the people who have nurtured by my style and supported my growth as their teacher. Over time, my focus has turned toward therapeutic yoga because of its effectiveness in helping people resolve pain and re-establish balance in their bodies and lives.

extremely beneficial.”

I moved to Hull, Massachusetts, in 1980 from my Washington DC hometown, and worked as the Executive Director of the Hull Lifesaving Museum for 26 years. After retiring from HLM in 2013, I began actively pursuing my passions for yoga and fiber art. I’m an exhibiting artist at Hull Artist’s Gallery Nantasket, and participate regularly in local and regional juried shows. To learn more about my art, please visit my website wracklinetextiles.com.

I am the mother of three adult children. In addition to yoga, art, and family, I love travel, classic film, reading, listening to books and podcasts, other peoples’ great cooking, and being on the water in my kayak or Adirondack Guide Boat. When not in my art or yoga studios, I often can be found in the woods with my adored rescue dog, Mango.
